Gossip Boys (Or SEO Attention Whores)

Go read this awesome post from your friendly neighbour Mad Hat

There seems to be more intelligent conversation on Perez Hilton sometimes. What’s the point of that response? It doesn’t add to the conversation in any way. Rand, why is it pure hypocrisy? Why is it attention baiting? It’s like grade school. You’re a sissy, na na na na. Blogs and communities are supposed exist to encourage intelligent conversation and not “fuck you eat shit and die”. Enough already.

I did read that article and it’s really cool and I agree with most opinions expressed inside, and the general feel of it.

And I you made a great headline: The words Gossip Boys alone sound weird, perverted and eye-catching, and when coupled with SEO whores, it makes for a really cool headline.

I check out for any new posts you might have via your RSS feed, and as soon as I saw this headline, I thought “I must read this”. Bravo!

Thanks for your comment mate. I will get the comment rss working when I get a few minutes. Never used them myself and didn’t really think they were so useful, but let’s give’em a try.

Doesn’t your rss reader get too chaotic when you subscribe to many threads?

I didn’t mean that, sorry, I should have been more specific. What I meant is the “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” option, which I have on my blog.

I like to be receive the follow-ups to a comment I posted somewhere by e-mail, where I can read them directly.

I agree, an RSS feed for comments is a little bit messy – I don’t like that. With the e-mail comments option, one doesn’t have to think to check a comment RSS feed. I never subscribed to any comments feed.
